- Engine modified to operate on E100 fuel
The 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo showed various innovations, new products, EVs, and even flex-fuel models. One such vehicle was the Tata Punch flex-fuel. Unlike many existing and upcoming cars that support up to 85 per cent ethanol-blended fuels, this version of the Punch can run even on 100 per cent ethanol. Here is a picture gallery, detailing the car.

The major highlight of the flex-fuel version is its engine. In a breakthrough, the modifications made to this engine now make it compatible with an E100 blend, which is claimed to be more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly.

Otherwise, it is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 86bhp and 115Nm torque. Transmission duties are handled by a five-speed manual gearbox, or an AMT.

That being said, the flex-fuel version isn’t a departure from the existing iteration, the only major change being in the engine. The flourescent colour was only put up for display, and there won't be any cosmetic changes.

Besides, the flex-fuel version continues with the same interior, featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen, two-spoke steering wheel, and other features from the standard Punch.
