The Swift is one of the models from the Maruti stable to have witnessed a price hike. The hatchback which debuted in its fourth generation last year, has now become expensive by Rs. 5,000. This revision applies to select variants.

The VXi AMT, VXi (O) AMT, ZXi AMT, ZXi+ AMT, and the ZXi+ dual-tone AMT variants of the Maruti Swift have now become dearer by Rs. 5,000. The other variants have not received a price revision.

Earlier this week, Maruti not only hiked the prices of the Celerio but also equipped the model with six airbags across all variants. This safety feature update is expected to be rolled out for all other Maruti cars in the near future. The brand will also introduce its first EV, the e Vitara later this year.
