- The new M5 adopts the exterior styling of its vanilla version, the 5 Series. It gets the signature kidney grille with a glowing outline, which is flanked by adaptive LED headlamps.
- The pronounced wheel arches house the 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21-inch ones at the rear. The rear profile is accentuated by a lip spoiler on the tailgate.
- In terms of design, the M5 looks similar to the new 5 Series. However, it does get M-specific elements such as aggressive bumpers, different exterior shades, redesigned alloys, rear spoiler, and larger air inlets. On the inside, the M5 comes equipped with an M-specific flat-bottom steering wheel, revised centre console, and a new gear lever.
