Mahindra and Mahindra recently launched the Scorpio N Carbon Edition in India to commemorate the SUV's two lakh sales milestone. Prices of the new model start at Rs. 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom), as it is based on the top-spec Z8 and Z8 L variants. The carmaker is offering the special edition in petrol and diesel versions, paired either with a manual or an automatic transmission. Here's a picture gallery, detailing all the changes.

The new Carbon Edition features a Metallic Black exterior finish. All the bling elements have been mellowed with darkened chrome for the grille and window line.

In contrast, we expected red accents to break the monotony. But, the Scorpio N doesn't get any of that. However, the SUV rides on black alloy wheels instead of dual-tone ones.

Mahindra has made the Carbon Edition available only in a seven-seater configuration. The cabin boasts an all-black leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching.

Powertrain
There are no changes made to the powertrain, and the Carbon Edition continues to be offered with the existing engine options. The Scorpio N has a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 198bhp and 380Nm, or a 2.2-litre diesel unit that churns out 173bhp and 400Nm torque. Gearbox options include a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
