Best Cars Under 6 Lakh

Buying experience was good, no problem there, it's my first car. Before this, I had Tata Nano in my college days (still have it in our garage) The driving experience of Punch is good, except that the engine is amazing. The engine is not very "punchy", lol. I knew this beforehand. Suspensions, ride comfort, dynamic stability, and handling are amazing. It almost feels like this chassis deserves a better engine, like some 1.2TGDi revving juicy engine. Punch looks beautiful in person, on the road. Ratios and wheel sizes are good-looking. (For its size and price) Service & maintenance. The first 3 services were free. First paid service (4th service) cost me around 5k ₹. The worst part about Punch is not its engine, as many people say, because the engine is manageable. The worst part is one simple but constantly annoying thing - it's bad steering and paddle positioning (brake & accelerator paddles). Bad ergonomics for the driver. Steering is too far away, but paddles are too close, so no matter what seat position you adjust, you'll always end up uncomfortable. That's a bigger drawback of the Tata Punch. How can designers make such a silly mistake? Idk. My Swift Gen2 also doesn't have steering telescopic (reach) adjustability, but still, its steering is positioned at the right distance, driver of any height can easily get comfortable. The problem is that the punch steering wheel is given at the wrong distance from the driver to begin with. And till now, no varient of ICE Punch has a telescopic (reach) adjustment in the steering wheel. The rest of the ergonomics on the interior are good or ok, no big problem other than the steering wheel position.

I've driven many cars, but this one is the best in this segment. Easily one of the best from the moment you hit the ignition, it just feels right. smooth handling, powerful engine, and best.

Recently driven a Triber for 2000 km from Jaipur to Lucknow and Dudhwa National Park and back. The car gave an average of 16 km/l overall. On the highway, it gave 18 without AC and 6 people on board. The AC is very good with vents at all 3 rows. Ground clearance at 182 CM is good; never scraped a bump. Lots of space in the first a s Second row with plenty of leg room. The car speakers are good, touch screen display with Android Auto is good. Missed the distance to empty feature for fuel. The fuel display is a little weird for my taste; a simple round dial is preferable. The engine has to be revved a little more than usual in initial gears to keep the car up with traffic. Pros: 1) Value for money car with all the practical features 2) Space and flexibility are highlights of the car 3) Manageable proportions for city driving 4) Lightest steering wheel, great AC. 5) Fuel efficient if driven sanely Cons: 1) Although the 999 cc engine has adequate power and torque, it's not for racy driving. 2) The engine is a bit rough and noisy at lower revs, especially in first a s second gear.
